The traditional approach of sending patients to hospital settings for diagnostic tests, such as echocardiograms, is changing. Many hospitals are unable to provide this direct service, or have their own large outpatient demand and waiting lists…..not to mention the demand for their inpatient services too. Other private organisations may only offer their services to private patients who are being reviewed by their consultants or can only offer a limited service in a single location.
