A pathway for patients to promptly and efficiently assess chest pain symptoms. We are providing timely access to first-class diagnostics, under the care of expert Consultant Cardiologists.

What is involved?

Stage 1:

- 12-Lead Resting ECG

- Transthoracic Echocardiogram

- Initial Face-to-Face Consultation with Cardiologist

Stage 2:

- CT Coronary Angiogram

- Follow-Up Consultation with Cardiologist

How can I access the Chest Pain Pathway?

You can self-refer, or a doctor can refer you to Ultracardiac for this pathway. Whether CT Coronary Angiography is necessary for you will be discussed at the end of Stage 1 with our Cardiologist.

What should I expect?

When you call to arrange a Chest Pain Pathway package, our friendly Admin Team will take all of the relevant details and schedule Stage 1 of the pathway with you for a convenient date, time and location. You will attend on the day for an ECG, an Echo and then you will see the Consultant Cardiologist afterwards to discuss the findings. They will determine whether it is necessary to then refer you to Stage 2 for CT Coronary Angiography to investigate Coronary Artery Disease. Dependent on the results of the CTCA, you may be discharged back to your GP, or onward referred privately (or via the NHS) for further intervention if required. This pathway aims to make the process as simple, safe and effective as possible for our patients. Ultracardiac provide prompt diagnostics and expert advice.
