What is involved?

Stage 1 – Initial Chest Pain Assessment (£470)

This essential first step includes:

·      12-Lead Resting ECG – Evaluating your heart’s electrical activity to detect irregular rhythms and assess for evidence of previous heart attacks or resting ischaemia reduction of blood flow to heart muscle)

·      Transthoracic Echocardiogram (Echo) – Anon-invasive ultrasound scan to assess heart structure, valves and function.

·      Face-to-face Consultation with a Consultant Cardiologist – Expert review of your results and symptom assessment with tailored advice on next steps.

What happens next?

At the end of Stage 1, your Cardiologist will discuss with you and determine whether any further investigations are necessary. If advanced imaging is required, then a referral will be made to Stage 2.

Stage 2 – Advanced Cardiac Imaging (Optional; £1600)

If further evaluation is required, Stage 2 provides:

·      CT Coronary Angiogram (CTCA) – A safe, low risk but detailed imaging test to assess coronary arteries for narrowing or blockages.

·      Follow-up face-to-face Consultation with a Consultant Cardiologist – A one-to-one review of your results and recommended onward treatment plan.

If coronary artery disease, or another heart condition is identified during your investigations with Ultracardiac, we can refer you for further treatment privately or via the NHS.
